From Asphalt to Engineering

The Evolution of PLL

Founded in 1985, PLL first established itself as a leader in paving in the Sherbrooke region. Over the years, the company has expanded its expertise far beyond asphalt, a growth fueled by constant investments in equipment and skilled personnel.

In 2018, PLL added asphalt grading to its service offerings. The following year, a dedicated excavation team was established, accompanied by the purchase of its first 8-ton excavator—a pivotal step in the company’s development.

The years 2020 and 2021 marked a new turning point: the addition of sealant and crack-filling services, the formation of a team specializing in repairs, and the acquisition of a loader for municipal snow removal. That’s when PLL took on a new stature in the Eastern Townships market.

In 2024 and 2025, the company reached another milestone with the addition of a bachelor’s degree holder in engineering and a civil engineering technician to the management team, the acquisition of three additional excavators of various capacities, and the move to new offices on Chemin de Saint-Élie in Sherbrooke.

Today, PLL has about thirty employees, including an engineer, two engineering graduates, and a civil engineering technician in supervisory roles, as well as one of the most comprehensive equipment fleets in the region. The ACQ recognized this remarkable journey by presenting us with a commemorative plaque for our 40th anniversary.
